This elective module reflects historical and contemporary concerns amongst both Human Resource Management HRM practitioners and academics that the practice of HRM has to date not made particularly good use of scientific, organizational and other types of evidence and information thus raising questions about the value of HRM and the HRM profession.

This module provides students with practical and hands-on experience of collecting scientific and other forms of information, critically appraising that information for its trustworthiness and relevance, and using it to guide the identification of a practical HRM problem and what specific actions are most likely to deal effectively with that problem.
